Dr. Coubarous is a double board certified physiatrist who is experienced in spine and musculoskeletal pain. She is a highly skilled, multifaceted physician who is a pain specialist, disability determination examiner, and board certified in both physical medicine/rehabilitation (physiatrist) and independent medical examination. She holds medical licenses in the states of Pennsylvania and New Jersey.  She practices Integrative pain management, Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine, Physical medicine and rehabilitation, and Wellness management. She provides treatment which is not limited to trigger point therapy, joint injection, muscle energy and other modalities to treat various musculoskeletal pain issues.

Dr. Coubarous specializes in treating conditions including neck pain, low back pain, muscle spasm, joint pain, myofascial injuries, headaches, myofascial pain syndrome, osteoarthritis, tendonitis, bursitis, and more.She has a passion and interest in utilizing organic and all natural products to improve and balance the body systems through detoxing, weight management, and energy and vitality improvement.

In addition to practicing pain management, Dr. Coubarous has previously provided clinical instruction and educational lectures to hospital colleagues, fellows and residents as an instructor for the ACGME accredited Temple University Pain Medicine Fellowship Program. She practices in diagnosing and treating a full spectrum of spine and pain-related disorders while delivering world-class, patient-focused care.

She is also trained and certified in substance abuse and the treatment of opioid dependence. 

Dr. Coubarous has coauthored journal articles and book chapters on spine and pain-related disorders in Pain Physician, Foundations of Interventional Pain Management and Pain Medicine, andUnderstanding Pain: What You Need to Know to Take Control.

Dr. Coubarous received her degree as a Doctor of Osteopathy at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and her residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Temple University Hospital. She completed an apprenticeship in interventional pain management through the ACGME accredited fellowship program at Temple University Hospital. In addition to practicing pain management, Dr. Coubarous has previously provided clinical instruction and educational lectures to hospital colleagues, fellows and residents as an instructor for the ACGME accredited Temple University Pain Medicine Fellowship Program. She practices in diagnosing and treating a full spectrum of spine and pain-related disorders while delivering patient-focused care.
